Mentorship programs

Run with the University Diversity Officer (UDO) and the Minorities Center. Tap for details.

Pairs incoming first-year students with graduating senior mentors (1:4 ratio) for a seamless transition into university life, covering academic advising, campus integration, personal development, and career pathways.

  • Meetings: Facilitated group sessions at least once per semester throughout the first year.
  • Benefits: Smoother academic transition, stronger peer community and retention, and leadership development for senior mentors.

Pairs incoming female students in STEM with senior female students for peer support and experience-based guidance — strengthening belonging, engagement, and retention.

Pairs first-year students from the bottom income quintile and Low- and Lower-Middle-Income Countries (LLMICs) with senior students who've faced similar challenges. Mentors are trained to recognize financial difficulty and connect students to Work-Study, the Counseling Center, and other resources.

Connects incoming students with disabilities to trained senior peer mentors who help navigate campus resources, accessibility services, and academic support, while fostering belonging and early access to the right university services.
