School Visits and Outreach

Phoenicia University (PU) advances its commitment to inclusive, equitable, and lifelong learning through structured school outreach initiatives that extend educational opportunities beyond the University campus. Through annual engagement with approximately 175 schools, reaching an estimated 8,750–10,500 students each year, PU provides learners with accessible guidance on higher education pathways, nationally and globally in-demand disciplines, emerging fields of study, and the knowledge and competencies required to succeed in an evolving workforce.

These outreach activities are designed to help secondary school students make informed decisions about their academic and professional futures by introducing them to current labor market trends, future career opportunities, university life, and the skills needed to thrive in higher education and beyond. Sessions are delivered by faculty members and University representatives, creating opportunities for students to interact with academic experts, ask questions, and gain practical insights into different fields of study.

In 2024, PU conducted outreach activities in 175 schools, engaging students from diverse educational and socioeconomic backgrounds across Lebanon. As part of its commitment to advancing gender equity in education, the University implemented targeted visits to girls' schools, reaching more than 5500 female students. These sessions encouraged participants to pursue higher education and explore career pathways in disciplines where women continue to be underrepresented, particularly Engineering, Computer Science, and other STEM-related fields. By highlighting role models, career opportunities, and the growing demand for these professions, the initiative supports greater female participation in high-impact sectors.

PU also promotes inclusive education by ensuring that students with disabilities are actively included in its outreach initiatives. Through these engagements, the University raises awareness of accessible higher education pathways, available student support services, and opportunities for meaningful participation in university life. These efforts reinforce PU's commitment to removing barriers to education and fostering an inclusive learning environment for all learners.

Beyond academic promotion, the University's school visits serve as an important platform for educational awareness, encouraging students to develop aspirations aligned with national development priorities and global workforce needs. By connecting prospective students with reliable information, academic guidance, and future-focused career opportunities, PU helps reduce barriers to higher education, supports informed educational choices, and contributes to expanding participation among historically underrepresented groups.

Through these sustained outreach initiatives, PU strengthens community engagement, broadens access to quality education, and contributes to preparing the next generation of skilled graduates equipped to meet the challenges of a rapidly changing world.
