PU Staff Member Participates in the Arab Youth Parliament Model Simulation

On August 10, 2024, PU staff member Faten Mhanna participated in a model simulation of the Arab Youth Parliament in Cairo, organized by the Ministry of Youth and Sports of Egypt. The conference served as a youth dialogue platform aimed at promoting community participation, strengthening sustainability, and empowering young people to contribute to addressing challenges facing the Arab world.

The conference brought together young participants from across the Arab region to exchange ideas, discuss shared challenges, and develop perspectives on strengthening Arab youth cooperation and diplomacy. Discussions also emphasized the values of loyalty, belonging, and Arab identity, while encouraging greater communication and understanding among Arab youth.

As part of the social dimension of the discussions, Mhanna contributed to a proposal for establishing a Youth Arab Bridge Program, designed to connect ideas and youth-led initiatives across Arab countries. Participants also highlighted the importance of dialogue and communication in overcoming perceived barriers created by political and media narratives.
