PU Engineering Students Take Part in IEEE MENACOMM 2025

On February 22, 2025, engineering students from PU participated in the Fifth Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers Middle East and North Africa Communications Conference (IEEE MENACOMM 2025), hosted by the Lebanese American University on its Byblos campus. This edition, titled “Breaking Boundaries: Pioneering the Next Era of Communication,” brought together industry leaders, researchers, and innovators from universities in Lebanon, the Arab world, Europe, and the US.

The program covered 5G and 6G networks, AI-powered innovations, and quantum communications, with keynote talks by Walid Saad of Virginia Tech on AGI-native wireless systems, Mérouane Debbah of Khalifa University of Science and Technology on AI-powered networks, and Pascal Lorenz of the University of Haute-Alsace on next-generation wireless networks. Taking part side by side, PU’s students gained equal access to professional networks, current research, and industry dialogue, and returned with fresh insights into the field and a broader view of the opportunities ahead.
