Phoenicia University Participates in EUSEEDS Seminar at Aix-Marseille University
Phoenicia University participated in the EUSEEDS seminar hosted by Aix-Marseille University in France from October 6 to 8, 2026.
Representing Phoenicia University, Career Center Manager Malak Al-Yousif joined project partners and representatives of beneficiary universities for three days of training, exchange, and working sessions focused on strengthening university employability and entrepreneurship support.
EUSEEDS is a regional project led by AUF Middle East and co-funded by the European Union under the Interreg NEXT MED Programme. It brings together partners from Lebanon, Cyprus, Egypt, Jordan, and Palestine and supports 24 universities across the region.
The seminar addressed key areas in the development of university career and employability services. Participants exchanged good practices, discussed common challenges, and explored approaches to better support students in their transition from university to employment and entrepreneurship.
Sessions also introduced participants to the EUSEEDS platform and the digital tool developed by PICTI to support student training and professional integration. The program further examined upcoming digital and soft-skills training aligned with employer needs. It also covered entrepreneurship support, inclusion, and ways to strengthen connections between universities and the professional ecosystem.
Participants also explored Aix-Marseille University’s entrepreneurship environment and discussed models that can support closer cooperation between universities, employers, innovation stakeholders, and student entrepreneurs.
Reflecting on the seminar, Yousif said: “The EUSEEDS mission offered valuable insight into how employability centers operate and helped deepen our expertise in the field. The exchange of good practices with regional and European partners will directly benefit Phoenicia University students by strengthening employability services and improving their readiness for the job market.”
She added: “It will also help expand students’ access to employers and entrepreneurship opportunities and support the development of more inclusive and responsive career services.”
For Phoenicia University, the seminar represents a practical step in strengthening the role of its Career & Employability Center and further developing the support available to students as they prepare for professional life. Its focus on employability, entrepreneurship, inclusion, and skills development also aligns with broader priorities related to quality education and decent work.
The seminar marked an important stage in preparing the next phase of the project, including the development of university employability centers, further training in digital and transversal skills, and expanded support for student entrepreneurship across the participating institutions.
