Idea Fair:  PU Students and Community Pitching Platform

Phoenicia University's Incubator (PUI) hosted its annual Idea Fair on the 27th of  April 2024, welcoming students and young innovators from the local community to pitch business ideas, projects, and inventions to a panel of faculty and industry mentors,  free of charge.

Ten ideas took the stage this year, spanning a wide range of disciplines and real-world problems. Highlights included an inventory management system designed to help businesses reduce overstocking, a clean electricity solution harnessing the power of ocean waves, a health behavior management application, and an innovative underfloor heating system powered by speedbumps.

Each idea was evaluated by the PU Advisory Board against criteria spanning originality and creativity, market potential and scalability, and team feasibility. Following the event, the winning teams, whose clean electricity solution harnesses the power of ocean waves, was invited to join PUI's incubation track, translating their pitch into structured, hands-on mentorship and resources to help develop their idea into a viable venture.

The Idea Fair continues to serve as a vital feeder into PUI's incubation pipeline, connecting student and community innovators with the free mentorship, training, and structured support they need to move their ideas from concept toward sustainable ventures.
