ASCE Student Chapter Holds Guidance and Open Session for Civil and Environmental Engineering Students

The Civil and Environmental Engineering Program at Phoenicia University, supported by the ASCE Student Chapter, held a Guidance and Open Session to welcome new students to the program and introduce them to its academic pathways and upcoming ABET accreditation progress.

The session opened with welcoming remarks from Dr. Mohammad Rahal, who outlined the program’s vision, focus areas, and the importance of academic engagement and continuous development.

Following his remarks, ASCE board members provided an overview of the academic roadmap, highlighting the role of academic advising in supporting students throughout their studies. They also introduced the ASCE’s initiatives and activities, encouraging students to take part in professional and extracurricular opportunities that enhance their university experience.

The event concluded with an interactive question-and-discussion session, allowing new students to gain a clearer understanding of their academic journey within the Civil and Environmental Engineering program.
