Mechanical Engineering

Mechanical Engineering is the engineering profession that employs mechanics and energy principles to conduct the analysis, design, manufacturing, and maintenance of mechanical systems such as tools, engines and other machines and components. Some applications of mechanical engineering include automobiles, aircraft, heating and cooling systems, watercraft, manufacturing plants, industrial equipment, medical devices, and other machines and components. The profession requires an understanding of thermodynamics, heat transfer, fluid mechanics, kinematics, materials science, and manufacturing processes.
