Dr. Feras Mahdi   

Dr. Feras Mahdi is a Director at GE Healthcare Finnamore, the healthcare consulting arm of General Electric's Healthcare division where he focuses on providing advisory and program implementation services to governments and public and private healthcare institutions. Prior to this, he was a Senior Manager at Medtronic, the world’s largest med tech company, and had led their clinical consulting practice across the Middle East, Africa, Central Asia and Turkey, specializing in healthcare management, operations, and performance improvement.  He is also the Executive Director of The Medical Clinics, a local healthcare management company and an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Public Health at Phoenicia University where he teaches the fundamentals of health promotion programs to senior students. He is also Chairman of the Board of ETI  Lebanon- Empowerment Through Integration - which focuses on empowering blind youth through skills and knowledge transfer as well as on changing the stigma of helplessness associated with blindness in our society.

Dr. Mahdi has an MD from the American University of Beirut and is specialized in Internal Medicine. He also has a Masters in Bioscience Enterprise from the Judge Business School at the University of Cambridge, in partnership with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), where he also co-founded CamStent, an award winning company developing and producing novel technology using advanced polymer coatings to enhance the safety and efficacy of medical catheters. He continues to mentor young health-tech entrepreneurs at local and regional events, in addition to serving as a recurrent panelist on regional healthcare business development. Dr. Mahdi is a member of the Lebanese Order of Physicians, the American College of Physicians, and the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE).  







Ms. Soughit Kouly

Ms. Kouly holds a BA in Archaeology, a BS in Business Administration, and a Master’s degree in Human Resources from the American University of Beirut (AUB). She has a number of certifications in leadership, Human Resources, Change Management and has completed several courses at Deloitte University. Ms. Kouly is a board member of the Middle East leadership Academy, an NGO that works on building, connecting and nurturing Arab leaders who think globally and seek to create a better future for the Middle East and the Arab world.  She was the Regional Head of Recruitment and Selection at Bank Audi, after which she was recruited to lead the Internship and Placement office at the Olayan School of Business - AUB for three years before assuming the Regional Human Resources Director role within Deloitte Middle East.

Ms. Kouly is currently teaching an HR Management course at Phoenicia University. Her purpose from joining PU is to make an impact on the youth by providing them with the knowledge and expertise needed to thrive in the very competitive world we live in. Her advice to PU students is to work hard to differentiate themselves and to find ways to make an impact and give back to the societies they are part of.
